We recently had the opportunity to bring this gorgeous CLA45 AMG in matte Designo Magno Polar Silver up to our Stage 1 specification.
Now isn’t this car amazing-looking? No, it’s not a wrap. This matte finish is real paint from factory. As the title says, it’s called Designo Magno Polar Silver. It takes an already classy sports sedan and pushes it up a whole notch. The look is nothing but staggering.
The owner wanted to reliably boost power and improve the sound of his car under acceleration. This was to be done without changing the vehicle’s driving characteristics or sounding too loud during gentle driving. In other words, aggressive when you want it, but mellow when you don’t.

We are able to bring the Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG up to the 440 horsepower range with the combination of our ECU tuning and intake system while improving midrange power deliver. The car really wakes up and is eager to move when you put your foot down. The additional torque and responsiveness in the midrange helps counteract the CLA’s tendency to shift up to the highest possible gear in Comfort mode, making the car a lot more livable even when you aren’t standing on the throttle pedal.

Here we can see how far the Mercedes-Benz 4-cylinder sports sedan has come over the last 30 years. The 190E 2.3 16V platform debuted in 1983… next to it is the CLA 45 AMG that was released in 2013. That 190E was one of the last performance cars Mercedes-Benz build before acquiring the AMG brand we all know and love today.
